From crater lakes and primordial geysers to sprawling lava fields, extinct volcanoes, and searing hot springs, the region is a wonderland of natural enchantments. Your 60-minute journey will include a flyover of Litli-Hrútur, the site of the peninsula’s most recent volcanic eruption, where a sprawling new lava field surrounds the extinct crater, creating an unforgettable vision of frozen-in-time land creation.
The tour departs from Blue Lagoon every Thursday and Saturday at 10:30, eliminating the need for traveling offsite to a departure location. The helicopter seats up to six people, so you will likely be joined by other Blue Lagoon guests seeking a unique voyage. As there is limited availability, advance booking is required.
